Human trafficking Horror : 17-Year-Old Girl Sold for ₹1.5 Lakh , Forced into Prostitution in Madhya Pradesh Rescued by Raigarh Police.

Minor Rescued from MP After Being Sold for ₹1.5 Lakh; Raigarh SSP Issues Strict Warning Against Flesh Trade

RAIGARH: Under the decisive leadership of SSP Shashi Mohan Singh, the Raigarh Police have successfully dismantled a notorious human trafficking syndicate. In a coordinated interstate operation, the police rescued a 17-year-old girl and arrested five individuals, including a buyer from Madhya Pradesh and four local mediators.

The Incident and Trapping of the VictimThe victim, a resident of Raigarh, fell prey to the gang on November 26, 2025. Following a domestic dispute with her father, she was approached by an acquaintance who lured her to Raigarh with the false promise of employment. She was then handed over to a syndicate consisting of Bindiya Ratre, Abhay Yadav, Chiku Khan, and Pooja (alias Bobby).

The gang took the minor to Sagar, Madhya Pradesh, where she was “sold” to a man named Sunil Dixit for ₹1.5 lakh. A forced marriage was performed at a local temple, after which Dixit repeatedly sexually assaulted her.Escape and Continued ExploitationThe survivor eventually managed to escape from Madhya Pradesh and returned to Raigarh by train. Fearing her father’s reaction, she did not go home and instead contacted Bindiya Ratre again.

Exploiting her vulnerability, Bindiya allegedly forced the girl into the flesh trade, pocketing the money earned from the exploitation.Police Action and ArrestsFollowing a formal complaint on April 11, 2026, Kotrarod Police Station In-charge Ajay Nagvanshi initiated a swift investigation. Based on the victim’s statement and technical evidence,

The police conducted raids and arrested:

Sirin Banu (alias Pooja/Bobby), 45, Raigarh.

Bindiya Ratre, 23, Raigarh.

Mohammad Danish (alias Chiku), 20, Raigarh.

Sunil Dixit, 37, Chhatarpur, MP (The Buyer).

One accused, Abhay Yadav, remains at large, and police teams are actively tracking him.Charges and Official StatementThe accused have been booked under sections 137(2), 143, 96, 98, 99, 64, 3(5) of the BNS, and Section 6 of the POCSO Act.SSP Shashi Mohan Singh stated, “Our crackdown on human trafficking and unethical activities will continue relentlessly.

We have sent a clear message to those involved in the flesh trade. I urge the public to report any such suspicious activities to ensure the safety of our citizens.”The operation was conducted by a dedicated team including DSP Ajay Nagvanshi, SI Kusum Kaivart, and other staff members under the guidance of Additional SP Anil Kumar Soni.
